Planning & Zoning Commission

The City of El Mirage is accepting applications for four volunteer Planning and Zoning Commission positions. The commission reviews plans submitted by developers, businesses and organizations, holds public hearings and makes recommendations to City Council. This public body is often among the first to see potential development proposed in El Mirage. One of the positions has a one-year term and three of the positions have two-year terms. Commissioner applications must be received Monday, May 17, 2021 by 5 p.m., and are reviewed by a subcommittee of the City Council who make recommendations for approval by the entire Council.  Finalists will go through an interview process. Selected applicants of the open seats will begin serving as Commissioners in July.
