The Downtown Arts District
The City of El Mirage is paving the way for a vibrant arts district in Downtown El Mirage.  Zoning codes allow mixed-use buildings in much of downtown El Mirage.  In essence, this means an artist could purchase a home, live in a portion of it, establish a studio in another portion, and add a gallery for sales to the public as well.  These live/work spaces can be in existing structures, additions to homes, or new construction. 

The Downtown Arts District is created to strengthen the overall health and vitality of El Mirage by supporting the growth and development of the creative sector including enterprises such as film, music, literature, art galleries, art districts, fashion, graphic design and individual artists.
