About El Mirage

History
Considered the gateway to the Northwest Valley of the Greater Phoenix Metro Area, El Mirage has grown from a small-town dependent on agriculture to a diverse urban economy with a 2010 census population of 31,767.  Our goal is to create a community that provides our residents the opportunity to purchase any good or service they desire without having to leave our city limits.

The 1937 agricultural beginnings of El Mirage provided roots for a community centered on cultural ties and family growth.  As development in the northwest valley accelerated, El Mirage has become one of its fastest growing communities.  What once had the feel of a sleepy village has become a thriving community of active residents keen on providing schools and amenities and attracting businesses while retaining a community spirit.
