SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EL
MIRAGE SENIOR CENTER

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Fred
Waterman called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Present: Mayor
Fred Waterman, Vice Mayor Michele Kern, Councilman Rick Monzon, Councilman Xavier
Bedolla, Councilman Roy Delgado, City Manager BJ Cornwall, Police Chief Dick
Yost, Finance Director Diana Betancourt and City Clerk Edith Hoover.
Absent: Councilwoman Tensi Reed,
Kathy White and City Attorney Fredda Bisman.
Consideration and action
regarding approval of a contract with AZM, Inc. for the installation of the
Police Department modular buildings.
Building Official Jeff Sterling gave an overview of the
project and stressed the necessity to get this project finished. Council
expressed their issues with the quality and legality of the contract as
presented by legal counsel. Vice Mayor Kern pointed out the AIA License Number
110459 expired on 10/6/00. She also pointed out the General Conditions do not
agree with the AIA. Council agreed this document was not ready for approval.
Vice Mayor Kern made a motion to
table the document until it is presented in proper form; seconded by Councilman

Bedolla, Kern, Delgado, Waterman
Councilman Delgado made a motion to adjourn at 6:05 p.m.; seconded by Councilman Bedolla.
