We all count in the City of El Mirage Census 2020

Canvassing

Representatives from the U.S. Census are canvassing Maricopa County neighborhoods now through Oct. 11, 2019, to ensure an accurate address list for the 2020 Census.

These canvassers will validate, correct or delete existing Census Bureau addresses as well as add or correct locations of specific addresses. These representatives will be stopping at some houses, apartments, shelters and other places where people could live or stay.

They will be identified with an official U.S. Census photo I.D. badge, a U.S. Census bag, and a 2020 Census identified laptop for collecting data, and will work only during daylight hours.

Those visited by a canvasser will not be asked actual census questions; all residents will still need to complete the official census when it begins in early 2020.
